The Digital Electronium
We are delighted to announce that Yuri Suzuki's reimagined Electronium will be shown at Barbican Centre, as part of the exhibition AI: More Than Human, from 16th May to 26th August.
Originally conceived in 1959 by Raymond Scott, Motown Records legendary head of R&D, the Electronium was a prototype sequencer that can compose and perform music simultaneously.
A collaboration with Counterpoint Studio the new machine uses AI to update Scott’s original vision and become a serious compositional tool.
Come and visit it at Barbican Centre.
